PUBLIC HEARING ON FLOOD PROTECTION GRANT PROJECT
The City of Buda will hold a hearing open to the public during its Regular City Council Meeting that begins at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, in the Council Chambers of Buda City Hall located at 121 Main Street in Buda. The purpose of this hearing will be to describe a flood protection grant project to be performed by the City of Buda. The project will include the construction of permanent warning devices at selected flood-prone locations on public roads inside the City of Buda.
The project will enhance the existing Hays County flood early warning system through the installation of new automated signals at selected flood-prone locations in the City. The project is being funded jointly by the City of Buda and the Texas Water Development Board, with project management services provided by the City of Buda.
This will be the first of a total of three public meetings for this project. The project findings will be summarized in a written report describing the measures implemented to mitigate future potential flood losses. The public is invited to attend, and written and oral comments will be accepted. For more information, please contact John P. Nett, P.E., City Engineer at (512) 523-1025 or email@example.com.
