David Nuckels was elected to Place 3 on the Buda City Council in December 2015.

He is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Master’s Degree in Natural Resources Development with an emphasis on water law and policy, and Bachelor’s Degree in Rangeland Ecology and Management. He has over 15 years’ experience in environmental compliance and regulatory issues. While a student at Texas A&M, David was selected to participate in the Congressional Agricultural and Natural Resource Policy Internship Program working in both the US Congress and Texas Senate where he gained valuable skills in policy creation and implementation.
Councilman Nuckels looks forward to working with the Council to: improve and create new recreational opportunities; keep Buda’s small town charm; manage expenses and taxes; adequately plan for future infrastructure needs; as well as position Buda for continued economic growth and development.

David and his wife Jennifer choose to raise their two boys (Landon, age 6 and Barret, age 2) in Buda. After moving here over three years ago, they knew Buda would be home.
