Filing for Office:  Candidate Packet, includes Candidate Forms. 
Download the packet or forms.  Once completed, call to make an appointment to submit the completed application packet - 512-523-1014.

Eligibility Requirements are outlined in the City of Buda City Charter.

• Hays County Elections Office - Polling Locations and Precinct Information
• January 1, 2022 - First Day to Apply for Ballot by Mail
• June 23 - Deadline to post notice of candidate filing deadline
• July 23 - First Day to File for a Place on the General Election Ballot
  
• July 23 - First Day to File for a Place on the Special Election Ballot
• PENDING - Election Orders:  General and Special Bond (including Spanish Version)
  
• August 22 - Last Day to File for a Place on the General Election Ballot (5:00 p.m.)
• August 26 - Last Day to to File a Declaration of Write-in Candidacy
  
• August 26 - Drawing results for Order of Names on the Ballot
• August 26 - Certification of unopposed Candidate, if needed
• October 11 - Last Day to Register to Vote
• October 24 - First Day of Early Voting by Personal Appearance
• October 28 - Last Day to Apply for Ballot by Mail (Received, not Postmarked)
• November 4 - Last Day of Early Voting by Personal Appearance
